Amy Adams gives her first class seat on plane to US soldier

Here's another reason we love Amy Adams.

The US actress opted to fly cattle class like us normal people, giving her first class seat to a US soldier she spotted at the departure gate.

And all this happened hush-hush.

The gorgeous redhead quietly arranged the swap on the Delta airlines flight with a flight attendant, Mail Online reported.

Her gracious gesture, however, did not go unnoticed.

ESPN's Numbers Never Lie host Jemele Hill was also on the plane, reported Huffington Post. She tweeted about it.

Hill told ABC News: "I noticed Ms. Adams was in first class and as I was getting seated, I saw the flight attendant guide the soldier to Ms. Adams' seat. She was no longer in it, but it was pretty clear that she'd given up her seat for him."

"Ms. Adams did it so quietly and quickly that it speaks to her character," Hill added. "And somebody in coach just got a helluva seatmate!"

Well that somebody turned out to be Huffington Post journalist Ernest Owens, reported Mail Online.

And that once-in-a-lifetime moment called for a selfie, of course.

The Oscar nominee met the soldier near the cockpit during the course of the five-hour flight from Detroit to Los Angeles.

The 39-year-old told Inside Edition after landing: "I didn't do it for attention for myself. I did it for attention for the troops."
