Rihanna donates US$25,000 to LAPD for dropping a phone
Rihanna cracked the LAPD commission president's phone, so she coughed up US$25,000 to make up for it.
Next time our phone is accidentally dropped by someone, we want that person to be Rihanna.
The Barbadian pop star was taking a selfie with LA Police Commission President Steve Soboroff at a basketball game last week when she accidentally dropped his phone.
But we bet he's not too angry, considering the 26-year-old singer made up for it with a US$25,000 (S$31,300) donation to a fund for cadets and fallen officers.
Soboroff announced the donation at an event on Tuesday. He was sitting next to the star at the Oklahoma City Thunder at Los Angeles Clippers Western Conference Semifinal game in Los Angeles on May 9.
After taking a selfie together, Rihanna dropped Soboroff's phone, smashing it, which made the selfie posted on Soboroff's Twitter account go viral.
But there's more - when Soboroff met her at another game, he asked her to sign his cracked iPhone so it could be auctioned off for the same LAPD fund.
Her adorable note on the phone? "Sorry! I ♥ LAPD. Rihanna."
