1 HOUSEHOLD NAME...IN PORTUGAL

Though he's unknown throughout most of the world, he's a star in his native Portugal. He started acting on Portuguese TV at age 15. Before coming to Hollywood, he appeared in Spanish and Brazilian movies.

2 JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR

Morgado finally became known globally, thanks to his portrayal of Jesus Christ in the TV miniseries The Bible. The show was a ratings smash hit last year, and earned three Emmy nominations. Morgado felt the pressure playing such an important character.

3 JESUS CHRIST MOVIE STAR

Opening here tomorrow, Son Of God earned around $75 million in the US. "There's a lot of people out there, a lot of kids especially, who don't know who exactly Jesus was," Morgado told The Hollywood Reporter. "So, this is actually a tool that can teach these kids about why Jesus was who he was."

4 TOO SEXY

Morgado is one sexy Jesus. #hotjesus became a trending topic on Twitter. Morgado, married with a five-year-old son, told USA Today: "I take the nickname as a compliment obviously, but I'm waiting for the good stuff. And the good stuff for me is if someone just nabbed me on the shoulder and said, 'Look, you did a pretty good job.'"

5 THE DEVIL AWAITS?

Morgado is set to star in a TV movie called The Messengers, in which he'll play a character known as The Man, a mysterious figure who has something to do with an impending apocalypse.
