Movie Review: Kung Fu Panda 3
Kung Fu Panda is one of the best animated films.
The sequel was also great, raising the bar even higher.
The story here doesn't break new ground, but the visuals are more vivid and immersive.
Shifu (Dustin Hoffman) has assigned Po (Jack Black) a daunting task - impart his gongfu skills to the Furious Five. But he is distracted by the appearance of his long-lost dad Li (Bryan Cranston), who brings him to a secret panda village.
Po also has to deal with supernatural baddie Kai (J.K. Simmons), who is determined to kill all gongfu masters in China.
Action and jokes are aplenty. The story moves along nimbly, punctuated by beautiful moments of family bonding.
This film is a worthy successor indeed, and one hopes there will be more to come.
