Beyonce becomes a modern Indian goddess in Coldplay's new video Hymn For The Weekend
COLDPLAY FEAT. BEYONCE - HYMN FOR THE WEEKEND
Shot in Mumbai, this shows Brit rocker Chris Martin and his band mates getting immersed in the Holi festival, being sprinkled with coloured powder while rocking their instruments.
Meanwhile, US pop diva Beyonce - who took to the stage with fellow performers Coldplay at the recent Super Bowl 50 halftime show - makes appearances as a modern Indian goddess and Bollywood actress, dressed in rich beaded Indian fabrics, with flowers in her hair and henna-tattooed hands.
The video, which also features Bollywood celeb Sonam Kapoor, has been accused of cultural misappropriation, but all we see is a stunning tribute to Indian culture.
LITTLE MIX FEAT. JASON DERULO - SECRET LOVE SONG
The British girl group's latest is just overflowing with emotion.
It's hard not to be moved by the quartet singing their hearts out, as Perrie Edwards croons lyrics like "Why can't you hold me in the street? Why can't I kiss you on the dance floor? I wish that it could be like that."
One can well imagine she's making references to ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik, lending the song a real sense of wistfulness.
London is the perfect backdrop too, with sweeping shots of the romantic Tower Bridge at night. And US singer Derulo's smooth dance moves and vocals complement the girls' voices perfectly.
ZENDAYA - NEVERLAND
Now this is magical.
It opens with the US singer-actress trying unsuccessfully to open a theatre door, and being assisted by a mystery man played by Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston.
Once in the venue, Zendaya brings her dream to life through dance, while singing her ballad with evocative lines like "We can sail away tonight/ On a sea of pure moonlight."
We're blown away by her dance moves, which are elegant, effortless and beautiful. Watching this video gives one a temporary escape into a fantasy realm.
