Sezairi debuts Selamat Pagi from the movie 1965
Sezairi will combine his soothing voice and his newfound talent for acting when he makes his big screen debut in the movie, 1965.
The Singapore Idol 3 winner debuted a song from the film, Selamat Pagi (Good Morning), during a press conference at Shaw Cinemas on Wednesday (June 17).
The 28-year-old, whose full name is Sezairi Sezali, plays police constable Adi in the highly anticipated local drama about the struggles of several pioneers during the tumultuous 60s.
Local singer-songwriter Gentle Bones was also unveiled as a contributor to the film's soundtrack.
1965 was made on budget of $2.8 million and is scheduled for a July 30 release.
It also stars Qi Yuwu, Joanne Peh, Deanna Yusof, Lim Kay Tong and Nicole Seah.
"Good things come to those who wait. We were looking for a story that we felt could connect with a 65-year-old and a 25-year-old," said 1965's executive producer Daniel Yun in a previous interview.
"We want to tell a compelling story in a way that is heartfelt, light and entertaining. I hope it can resonate with people from around the world."
