Girls' Day wows fans with sexy, cutesy show
From sexy to cutesy to sporting and fun.
Korean girl group Girl's Day showed different sides of themselves in a two-hour concert which thrilled their screaming fans yesterday.
The music showcase, held at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Hall, is part of the Kstar Fanfest - a two-day finale to a two-month-long Korean Festival 2014.
The festival is a run-up to the Asean-Korea Commemorative Summit next month in Korea and next year's 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Korea.
The group, made up of Sojin, Minah, Yura and Hyeri, burst onto the stage at 7pm with their zebra outfits - complete with tails.
They immediately set pulses racing with sexy performances of their hits, Something, Don't Forget Me and Female President.

When the fans were asked who was the sexiest member, male fans screamed "Yura" in unison.
The girls then changed their tune to innocent cutesy - this time dressed in chilli red outfits with flowy short skirts.
During the lively song Darling, they made full use of their skirts to perform curtsy-like moves.
During the game segment with the fans, the girls showed they could be sporty and fun as well, even as they were being competitive.
CHARADES GAME
In the charades game, they went all out to mimic a koala bear, a lion, an eagle and a turtle - much to the amusement of their fans.
Hyeri was chatty and confident, showing her "evil" side by laughing loudly when her group members had a harder word to act out.
But she reminded everyone it was all in the spirit of fun, as she helped Minah reattach her mic halfway through the games.
Fans were thrilled and enjoyed themselves. They went crazy when the time came for the girls to pick lucky fans to be up close with them on stage.
Said Mr Ken Tan, 21, an undergraduate: "It was awesome! I did not expect them to be so lively; they engaged with the audience at every opportunity they had.
"It was definitely a different experience when you see them performing live on stage."
Another undergraduate, Mr Tay Wei Jie, 22, who has an examination today, said it was worth not studying for a day.
He said: "The performance was good. It lived up to my expectations because the girls were entertaining. They put up a good show."
Miss Siti Hajar Thabar, 22, who saved up for the event, said: "I really enjoyed myself. They are my sunshine."

Girls' Q&A makes fans' day
Before dancing and singing their hearts out, Girl's Day took questions from the media in a 30-minute conference held at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre yesterday.
Besides local media, reporters from Australia and Indonesia were there as well. Fans were also allowed in for the session.
The girls spoke little English and gave their answers mostly through an interpreter.
WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO IN SINGAPORE?
Hyeri: Singapore is one of the countries I have wanted to visit. I want to visit Universal Studios Singapore as well.
Minah: I want to try chilli crab in Singapore.
IF YOU CAN BE A FEMALE PRESIDENT FOR A DAY, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
Hyeri: It is very heartening to be the First Lady of Korea.
Minah: I'll make one day specific for girls: Girl's Day.
WHAT CAN YOUNG FANS LEARN FROM YOUR SONGS?
Yura: Maybe they can learn how to date a boyfriend.

Hyeri: Korea is a "warm" country, there's a lot of warmth among Koreans. There's a lot of food. Since it is very different from Singapore, you can have a lot of different experiences.
