A former cleaning supervisor was jailed five years for his role in the abduction and vicious attack on materials analyst Dexmon Chua.

Chua Leong Aik, 66, on Friday (Jan 8) pleaded guilty to one charge each of voluntarily causing grievous hurt and abduction.

He and his friend, Chia Kee Chen, 55, and Indonesian national Febri Irwansyah Djatmiko, 33, hatched an elaborate plot to abduct and assault Mr Dexmon Chua, who had an affair with Chia's wife.

On Dec 29, 2013, they set on Mr Dexmon Chua at a multi-storey carpark in Choa Chu Kang.

They assaulted him before bundling him into a van where they electrocuted him and beat him up with a hammer-like object.

Chua Leong Aik was told to drive towards Lim Chu Kang while Chia and Febri continued the assault.

Mr Dexmon Chua's body was only found on Jan 1, 2014, when Chia, who had been arrested, led police to a Live Firing Area off Lim Chu Kang Road.

Chia's case is pending while Febri is still at large.
