Fighting and catching spiders, a popular pastime in the 1960s and 70s, has mostly died out in Singapore.
But a small group of enthusiasts continue to meet at a small shelter in Lorong Lew Lian for monthly fights with their creature of choice - a species of jumping spider called Thiania bhamoensis.
