Cosmetologist turns himself into comic book characters

One artist's drawings of comic book characters are so incredible that they have caught the attention of Stan Lee himself.

Mr Argenis Pinal, a cosmetologist from California, US, has made a name for himself on Instagram for transforming himself and other people into popular superheroes and villains.

His page, which was started in 2012, now boasts over 109,000 followers who eagerly await to see which character he'll become next.

 

 

Lee, the founding father of Marvel and co-creator of Spider-man, the X-Men and Iron Man, was filled with nothing but praise for Mr Pinal's unique pieces of work in an article posted on his official website. He remarked that Mr Pinal's work is "nothing short of incredible".

He wrote: "Pinal is his own makeup artist and hair stylist and has perfected his method of using heavy dark lines to contour his face into drastically different shapes," 

"You won't learn tricks like these in cosmetology school," he added.

Aside from highlighting Mr Pinal's breathtaking make-up renditions of Marvel characters such as Magneto, Wolverine and Spider-man, Lee also singled out his transformation into characters from rival company DC Comics, namely Joker and Harley Quinn.
