Internet trolls taunt Zelda Williams, forcing her off social media
While many fans around the world took to their social media platforms sympathy messages sending their love and respect after actor and comedian Robin Williams was found dead on Monday, two Internet trolls decided to do the complete opposite.
Adding to her despair, two netizens, whose online nicknames are @PimpStory and @MrGoosebuster, sent Williams' daughter photos that appeared to be doctored images of her father supposedly after his death.
They added some awful words to go along with the disturbing images.
Soon after, Zelda pleaded with the public on her Twitter when she posted asked followers to report the two users.
"I’m shaking. I can’t. Please. Twitter requires a link and I won’t open it. Don’t either. Please," Zelda wrote before deleting her tweet, Just Jared reported.
Not long after that tweet was deleted, she said her goodbye on her Twitter.
The mourning actress also said she would be stepping away from Instagram, begging social media users to be respectful of her and her family during this difficult time, Us Weekly reported.
Her caption read: "I will be leaving this account for a but while I heal and decide if I'll be deleting it or not. In this difficult time, please try to be respectful of the accounts of myself, my family and my friends..."
Fans have tweeted nothing but support to her, slamming the two trolls for being heartless.
