Police looking for Bangkok teens who assaulted and robbed Japanese tourist
Three male teenagers in Bangkok are on the run after they allegedly attacked and robbed a Japanese tourist.
The incident happened on Monday morning outside a convenience store in Sathon district of the Thai capital. The trio were led by a 15-year-old who was later taken into custody by the police.
Of the three suspects, one is aged 15, and the other, 17. The age of the third suspect is not known.
The police are seeking warrants for the arrest of the three, according to Pol Lt Col Sayam Insuwanno, deputy investigative chief of the Thung Mahamek police station.
The victim, Mr Goji Ota, 38, had his shoulder bag stolen after the assault.
Footage of the crime was recorded on a surveillance camera at the store.

According to the police, one of the 15-year-olds was found with the stolen bag when he was arrested.
The bag had Hong Kong and Singapore dollars and Chinese yuan worth about 30,000 baht (S$11,000), two credit cards and Mr Ota's ID card.
The arrested teenager told police that he and his three friends had been riding around on two motorbikes, looking for someone to rob.
He added that they spotted Mr Ota leaving the convenience store alone and decided to rob him by hitting him with two metre-long wooden batons.
They then snatched the shoulder bag from the victim once he fell.
