L'OREAL PROFESSIONNEL
TECNI ART FULL VOLUME
EXTRA MOUSSE
$36
Having thick hair has its plus points but sometimes, it can look flat and lifeless.
My solution? Curl my stubborn hair.
But my usual hair spray leaves the curls lumpy, stiff and totally unnatural.
That has changed since I came across this.
The mousse, which comes in a 400ml bottle, upped the volume level of my naturally weighed-down hair and maintained the extra lift throughout the day.
Yes, it made my hair a little bit stiff but not entirely. The goal was to maintain the curls all day and it did just that. Score!
Available at all L'Oreal Professionnel partner salons.
PROSTYLE FUWARIE HAIR STYLING MIST (CURL)
$13.90
This mist spray makes hair feel stiffer but it has to be that way so that the curls stay intact. It’s better than most hair spray, which can feel sticky.
This 150ml bottle of curlmaintaining mist also has an extra feature that most women could do with — the ability to protect hair from the damage by heated styling tools.
The best part? Hair strands are not clumped together in ugly chunks.
Available at all BHG and Tokyu Hands outlets, and selected John Little outlets.
TONI&GUY PREP HAIR MEET WARDROBE VOLUME PLUMPING MOUSSE
$21.90
A volume plumping mousse that works a little differently from your curl-maintaining hair sprays.
This non-sticky formula is applied onto damp, towel-dried hair before any heat styling routines.
The mousse, which should be applied directly to the roots, gave my hair maximum lift, leaving it with an easily mouldable texture.
If your hair is dead straight and absolutely stubborn like mine, then this will solve your mane headaches.
Available at all Sephora stores.
