New Face girls show how to jazz up Jubilee Big Walk T-shirts
New Face contestants amy Syireen Marican and Lee Qian Hui show us how to modify the Jubilee Big Walk T-shirt
Participants of this year's SG50 Jubilee Big Walk can look forward to better and bigger goodies, a new route which passes iconic landmarks and a carnival to finish off the walk.
And to make things even better, the New Face girls will be walking too.
Walkers will have a chance to chat with and even snap a selfie with these gorgeous babes, some of whom will be participating for the first time.
One of them is Amy Syireen Marican, 18, who is studying business and law at a private school.
She said: "I decided to join the Walk as I heard that its going to be a big and fun event and I wanted to be a part of that. And I get to have fun with the girls so it'll be a good bonding session for all of us."
Nanyang Technological University graduate, Lee Qian Hui, 23, the second runner-up of TNP New Face 2015, feels the Jubilee Big Walk is a great event to round up the SG50 celebrations.
She said: "I'm looking forward to seeing famous landmarks like the National Museum and Gardens by the Bay.
"And I can't wait for the carnival at the end of the walk as well."
Walkers will each get a limited-edition Big Walk T-shirt by Denizen, which showcases Singapore's iconic landmarks such as Gardens by the Bay, Marina Barrage and the National Museum of Singapore.
Participants can decide how they want to modify their T-shirts.
Amy and Qian Hui got their inspiration to modify their Big Walk shirts from YouTube videos and demonstrated how participants can jazz them up.
MUSCLE TEE BABE:
On Qian Hui: Cut off the sleeves to show off those defined arms.
BIGGY WALKY:
On Amy: Cut the bottom of the T-shirt into strips with a pair of scissors.
She said: "I named it 'Biggy Walky' due to the super comfortable style of the redesigned T-shirt."
KNOTIFIED
On Qian Hui: "I decided to redesign the T-shirt as a crop top with a small knot at the bottom of the shirt as this style is cheeky yet conservative enough to rock on the streets."
