A SAFE CYCLING LESSON
In a bid to increase awareness about safe cycling on the roads, OCBC Cycle Singapore's Safe Cycling Day will no longer be held on one Saturday of the year, but the last Sunday of every month.
The Singapore cycling pro outfit launched this year's OCBC Cycle Singapore Safe Cycling Campaign yesterday at Yu Neng Primary School by holding a clinic for 830 primary school children.
They donated 200 helmets for needy students from the school who cycle.
The Singapore cycling outfit's effort to advocate road safety includes a year-long Instagram contest to encourage cyclists to wear the OCBC Safe Cycling jersey every last Sunday of the month.
Cycling enthusiasts can post a photo of themselves on Instagram with the assigned themes like "safe cycling at night" and "safe cycling with your loved ones", with the hashtag - #SafeCycling, in order to spread the message of "Let's Share the Road" - this year's theme.
The OCBC team also will also be distributing 2,000 limited edition OCBC Cycle Singapore Safe Cycling jerseys today at the Long House Food Centre along Upper Thomson Road from 6am onwards.
