David Moyes under investigation for alleged assault in Lancashire
David Moyes just can't get a break, can he?
The deposed Manchester United manager is set to be questioned by the police in Lancashire over an alleged assault in a local bar.
The 51-year-old was at the Emporium wine bar in Clitheroe on Wednesday night when the incident occurred.
In a statement, the Lancashire police said that "officers attended the bar at 10pm" on Wednesday where "it was reported that a 23-year-old local man had been assaulted by a 51-year-old man".
The younger man "did not require hospital treatment" and the police added that "inquiries are ongoing" because of "a number of differing accounts" that were given, stressing that no one had been arrested.
According to Sky Sports, Moyes has been lying low since his high profile sacking at United, although he is in the running for a return to his native Glasgow with former club Celtic following the sudden resignation of manager Neil Lennon.
