A heady mix of politics and sex couldn't get Scandal to the top of the list of most popular shows on Twitter.
Neither did the jaw-dropping deaths on Game of Thrones, or the gore on The Walking Dead.
Instead, the most popular show on Twitter was Breaking Bad, which reached about six million people per episode according to marketing research folks Nielsen.
The drama, about a small town high school chemistry teacher turned drug kingpin, saw a reach of 9.1 million people on Twitter during its finale last year.
While dramas that aimed to shock populated the top four, the rest of the list was a mix of reality shows as well as shows popular with teens.
