Mariah Carey's cameo cut after diva attitude
US actors Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler take up gambling to pay for their daughter's college education in their new comedy The House, which is now showing here. But one person the movie decided not to take a risk with was US singer Mariah Carey.
She filmed a cameo for it, but it ended up on the cutting room floor, writer-director Andrew Jay Cohen said at the red carpet premiere earlier this week.
Cast members have said Carey was difficult on set.
Actor Rob Huebel said in an interview last month that Carey would not sing the song the producers hired her to perform when she turned up late to film her one-day cameo. - REUTERS
