Robin Williams lives on... as World of Warcraft avatar
We know him as one of the greatest actors of this generation.
And mourn the loss of his incredible humour.
But there's one thing many of us don't know about the beloved comedian: Robin Williams was crazy about his video games, especially Warcraft 3.
He especially loved the multi-player online game World of Warcraft, where he was able to remain anonymous. Who knows, you might have actually come across him unknowingly!
After his suicide, fans started a petition asking game developer Blizzard to create a non-player character as a way to immortalise the late actor.
The petition also kindly requested for the character to say some of Williams' best jokes so that “he may continue making us smile long after his passing”.
Guess what? The good folks said yes, okay.
World of Warcraft's official twitter account announced yesterday in a heart-warming goodbye message that they'd see him "in-game".
So all you Williams fans, here's something to look forward to.
Two thumbs-up to Blizzard for being such great people for making this possible.
