What next for Game Of Thrones? Here are some fan theories

Season six of Game Of Thrones concluded by giving many fans what they had been waiting years for.

Theories were proven, major deaths dealt and alliances were made.

Now that it has been confirmed there are only two seasons left, we look at other fan theories that are circulating about the lead characters.

Be warned. You will need to have watched the finale to avoid spoilers.

Ready?....

It has finally been confirmed that Jon is a Targaryen - and that he is Daenerys' nephew.

But could he have another secret relative that we do not know about?

One (far fetched) theory has it that Lyanna Stark (Jon's mother) actually had twins - a boy and a girl.

And that Jon's twin sister is Meera Reed - the young woman currently keeping Bran Stark company.

The man who raised Meera, Howland Reed, was the only other surviving man in the battle at the base of the Tower of Joy.

While Ned took Jon back to Winterfell to raise, Howland could have taken the baby girl.

But it's not very likely. We saw Young Ned with Lyanna and just one baby.

However, more likely is that Tyrion Lannister is also a secret Targaryen, making him a relative of both Jon and Daenerys. The reason? Well, the dragons seemed to like him.

It's also said that's why Tywin hated him so much, because he wasn't his dad's.

Now that she finally has a handle on ruling, telling the slavers "My reign has just begun" she is off to Westeros with a fleet packed with Dothraki, Ironborn, Tyrell and Dornish.

But who is she targeting? Will she know who to ally with? What if she doesn't like Jon?

And as has been proven before, if you get in her way, she will burn you to the ground. Just ask Khal Moro and the other Khals.

The other theory, and quite creepy given they're relatives, is that Daenerys will use her hand in marriage as a bargaining chip.

Could Daenerys marry maybe-nephew Jon Snow (and that kind of thing was not uncommon in the Targaryen bloodline) to get a stronger army in Westeros?

In the finale, disappointment was all over Jaime's face as he watched Cersei take the Iron Throne.

There was little, if any, humanity left in Cersei.

She did what he had tried to prevent. Cersei used Wildfire on her own people - the very thing Jaime killed the Mad King for.

Given that there's a huge fleet heading her way, what are the chances that Cersei will use wildfire again to fight them off?

Maybe even lure them onshore and blow up the entire city? 

Then will Jaime the Kingslayer also put the "Mad Queen" out of her misery?

In Cersei's prophecy, the witch Maggy the Frog told young Cersei that she will be killed by the valonqar (little brother in Valyrian).

Jaime or Tyrion? Take your pick.

Sansa gave Littlefinger a dressing down for leaving her with the Boltons, telling him: "I can still feel what he did, in my body, standing here, right now."

And just before his smug face became so much doggy chow, Ramsay Bolton gloated: "You can't kill me. I'm part of you now."

Could Sansa be carrying Ramsay's child? It's hard to tell, and seeing as it really isn't the weather for a summer dress, it is not as though there is a bump tell us.

The other big theories are pretty much opposites.

One is from the Internet 'shippers' who want Sansa and Jon to be together. Er, they may not be half-siblings, but they are still related.

The other is that thanks to Littlefinger's incepting doubt, Sansa and Jon will turn against each other. After all, she has greater claim to Winterfell than he does now.

She's already proven to be a better battle tactician ...

Arya spent most of season six fighting The Waif. But does The Waif exist?

She knows what Arya is doing. She knows when Arya lies and she can tell where Arya is.

When The Waif fights a blind Arya on the street Braavos, nobody comes to her aid.

Is this some Tyler Durden thing? 

Another theory has it that The Waif is real, but that it was her that won and left Arya for dead. She's just wearing an Arya mask and has been sent out to wreak havoc in Westeros.

But then, why would she take time to get revenge on Walder Frey?

Ah yes, there are still plenty on Arya's kill list. In no particular order: Cersei, Ilyn Payne, The Mountain, Melisandre, Beric Dondarrion, Thoros of Myr, Jaime and The Hound.

These last two could be particularly tragic.
