Sonia Sui shows off trim post-baby bod
Taiwanese actress shows off trim midriff just three months after giving birth to her son
It is amazing to think that Taiwanese actress and model Sonia Sui gave birth to her son Max barely three months ago in Singapore.
Sui, who attended the local premiere of Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) special presentation film The Laundryman last Friday, looked svelte in a cream and gold cropped top and black skirt, which showed off her trim midriff.
Standing at 1.73m and weighing 55kg, Sui, 35, attributed her quick post-baby weight loss to working out regularly during her pregnancy.
In The Laundryman, Sui plays the boss of a laundromat that is a front for an assassination ring.
She was at the premiere, held at the Marina Bay Sands Theatre, with her co-star, Malaysian actress Yeo Yann Yann, and Taiwanese director Lee Chung.
Sui told The New Paper on the red carpet: "It's great to be back in Singapore.
NO PAPARAZZI
"I love it here because people are so nice and I feel very free here because there are no paparazzi.
"I can bring my baby out for walks very comfortably here. I also love the local food, like Katong laksa."
Sui, who chose to give birth and spend part of her confinement period in Singapore, flew back to Taiwan periodically for work.
She said that life has changed since becoming a mother, as she finds herself more sensitive these days.
Watching touching movies about children makes her cry easily, for instance.
She would like to have three children, including, she hopes, one girl.
Sui added: "Since Yann Yann and I both have kids now, I got a lot of tips from her, like how to massage my baby correctly."
For The Laundryman, she got to film some intense fight scenes with a real knife.
"It's a very dark role," she said. "But I did enjoy the experience, because it's something different for me."
