3 crazy things Apple fans have done to get the iPhone 6

Some guys will do anything to get their hands on an iPhone 6 including...

...renting out their girlfriends

A student from Songjiang University in Shanghai decided to "share" his girlfriend to earn money for the latest Apple smartphone.

He was seen on campus holding up a large placard with the words "Sharing girlfriend to earn pocket money – 10 yuan (S$2) per hour, 50 yuan per day and 500 yuan per month”.

The rented girlfriend would help you reserve a place at the study room, accompany you for shopping trips, be your video games companion and eat with you. But there would strictly be no "funny business".

The man claimed his girlfriend had agreed to take part in his scheme willingly, reported International Business Times.

South China Morning Post reported that the man shared details of his girlfriend’s vital statistics and photos of her with interested parties.

...asking for it as dowry

Want to marry my sister? Give me an iPhone 6 as the dowry.

This was the request a Saudi man made to a man who wanted to marry his sibling.

The prospective groom was asked to present the gadget as soon as it was available on the Saudi market, Gulf News reported.

The brother's request supplanted the father's initial request for money, reported Arabianbusiness.com.

Bahraini office clerk, Mr Saud Ahmad, said: "We have heard about quite a few of things, but an iPhone 6 that has not even hit the markets here is a bit bizarre.

"We need to promote a culture where marriage should not be used by anyone to get gifts or make profits in any way. If I had been the groom, I would have confronted the brother."

...flying from the US to Australia

To be the first person in the world to get the iPhone 6, Mr David Rahimi took a flight across the globe, from California to Sydney. That's at least a 14-hour flight. Yikes!

Mr Rahimi and his girlfriend Jasmine Juan ordered the smartphones in their home country, but flew to the Australian city (the first place to get the iPhone 6) to pick it up,.

He was first in line at the pick-up queue, reported Mail Online

ZD Net reported him as saying: "At midnight California time last Friday, we went online, made our reservations, and made sure we got the phones that we wanted, and now this morning, we're here.

"It was for vacation, but we also wanted to be one of the first in the world to get the new iPhones."
