Bouncy castle flies off with 3 children in it
Two young boys seriously injured
A gust of wind blew a bouncy castle away with three children still inside on Monday afternoon.
The inflatable play structure was secured to the ground with spikes when it flew almost 5-storeys (15m) up into the air in South Glen Falls, New York.
Two young boys, age five and six, were seriously injured after they fell out of the inflatable structure. One boy landed on a parked car while the other landed on the concrete pavement. The older boy suffered from a serious head injury and the other boy suffered two broken arms and facial injuries. The girl, 10, had minor scrapes and bruises.
A resident of the apartment building, Ms Taylor Seymour, said that the wind had swept the structure away and spun it around.
She said: "It was like a horror movie. It just kept going up and up."
A similar incident happened just last month in Spain when a gust of wind blew five bouncy castles away, injuring 23 children. The man who was operating the toys has since been arrested.
