Sezairi is back with a self-titled EP
He probably stole your heart when he became the country's third Singapore Idol in 2009.
On Friday (July 8), Sezairi will be releasing his first full-English EP.
This would be the 28-year-old's first record release after signing with Sony Music Singapore last year.
The EP consists of one intro and five full-length songs, including his recently released single, Fire To The Floor, which topped Spotify’s Singapore Viral 50 Chart within a week after its release.
"These songs are about what a real relationship is and how it's like to be in a real functioning relationship," the 29-year-old told The New Paper in an interview at our studio last week.
We also got to learn more about him through a game of This or That.
Besides Fire To The Floor, the songs on his EP were all written by Sezairi himself, inspired by his seven-year relationship and recent marriage to his wife.
In January, the singer tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Syaza Qistina Tan. It would be the couple's first Hari Raya together as husband and wife.
Sezairi also starred in a historical local film last year, 1965, as the son of one of the villagers.
In conjunction of his EP release, he has released a free track download for his fans for a limited time, of the song Terrified from his EP, featuring local rapper THELIONCITYBOY.
"I wrote it years ago, when I realised that I was so afraid to approach women," Sezairi told TNP. "The song talks about my overall fear of relationship and commitment, before I met Syaza of course."
Sezairi's upcoming EP is available for preorder via iTunes here.
