Brick to the future: Lego creations give glimpse into S'pore's future
SG50 exhibition showcases Project Build 2015 entries made from Lego bricks
There are 50,000 Lego bricks used in this exhibition.
The BCA Project Build Exhibition opened at the Raffles City Atrium at Level 3 of the Raffles City Shopping Centre on Friday.
Organised by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) to mark SG50, it showcases the top 20 creations from the Project Build 2015 competition held in July.
The participants gamely took on the challenge of providing a peek into the future by building an accessible, inclusive and universally-designed environment.
There were more than 200 entries, from which the top five teams emerged.
Of these, the team led by game artist Kenneth Chen, 29, took home the top prize.
Fifteen merit awards were also given out.
The competition was judged by Lego artist Nicholas Foo, designer Edmund Ng and art consultant Jazz Chong.
The exhibition runs till Oct 28 and is open daily from 11am to 9pm.
Admission is free.
WINNER: Mr Kenneth Chen, 29, won the top prize in the competition for his vision of a Singapore where every place is easily accessible for all.
