He preyed on teen in 'sanctity of home'
Man on trial for sexual assault of girlfriend's daughter also raped her in forested areas
He allegedly started preying on his girlfriend's teenage daughter seven years ago.
The man, now 56, allegedly continued sexually abusing the girl over two years and is also accused of raping her twice - once in January 2010 and again in early 2011.
On the first day of his trial on Monday, the court heard the girl was then between 15 and 16 years old.
In the prosecution's opening address, Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) Lin Yinbing said the man would drive the victim, now 22, to secluded areas in Singapore before sexually assaulting her.
She added: "On other occasions, he would perform unwanted sexual acts on the victim in the sanctity of her home."
The man cannot be named to protect the victim's identity.
He allegedly targeted the girl for the first time one evening in March 2009.
He is accused of outraging her modesty by touching and kissing her breasts in his company's prime mover, which he parked in a forested area in Punggol.
He allegedly committed the same offence again about a year later in the vehicle in a forested area in Pasir Panjang.
In January 2010, he allegedly raped the girl in it in a forested area in Punggol.
On two occasions in June that year, he allegedly sexually penetrated the girl in her flat without her consent.
He is accused of raping her for the second time in the prime mover in early 2011 in a forested area in Punggol.
The prosecution has proceeded on five of the six charges - two counts each of rape and sexual penetration and one count of outrage of modesty.
The second outrage of modesty charge has been stood down. This means the prosecution will assess whether to bring this charge up at a later date.
VICTIM'S MUM TO TESTIFY
The victim's mother will testify in court as a prosecution witness.
DPP Lin said: "She will testify as to how the victim had told her that the accused had 'touched' her and how the victim asked that she keep it a secret.
"The victim's siblings... will testify as to how they came to know about the accused's sexual misdeeds and how a police report was eventually lodged on Dec 27, 2012."
The trial was held in-camera yesterday and on Monday. This means the public and the press were not allowed to observe proceedings.
The trial resumes today.
If convicted of rape, the man could be jailed for up to 20 years and fined for each charge.
If convicted of outrage of modesty, he could be jailed between two and 10 years.
He cannot be caned as he is above 50 years old.
