Molester staked out Clementi MRT station for victim
A 32-year-old jobless man was on Tuesday (May 5) given 10 years' corrective training (CT) and ordered to receive nine strokes of the cane for molesting a 26-year-old woman.
Muhammad Harzan Mahat committed the offence between 2.45pm and 3pm at a Clementi block of flats on Nov 9, last year.
He had waited outside Clementi MRT station looking for someone to molest and spotted his victim walking out.
He followed her home and molested her in a lift.
CT is a prison regime for repeat offenders and does not offer the usual one-third remission for good behaviour.
