Student hurt after e-scooter hits her
A 15-year-old secondary school student was injured after an e-scooter hit her early this month.
She suffered a bruised right shoulder and cuts on her elbow and ankle and she sprained her right foot.
The incident occurred on Aug 4 at about 11.30pm, along a sheltered walkway outside Ang Mo Kio Hub.
Although she was not knocked down, she lost her balance and sustained injuries from the impact.
According to the victim's mother, Madam Zhao, 43, a housewife, the rider asked the girl if she needed help, Chinese daily Shin Min Daily News reported.
She declined help because she thought her injuries were not that severe.
But once she attempted to walk, she realised she was bleeding and in excruciating pain.
Her parents then took her to hospital.
Madam Zhao hopes the rider will compensate them for the $120 spent on her daughter's hospital treatment and mobile phone screen repair.
The police issued a public notice with a picture of the rider last Friday.
