YNWA: Dream comes true for MH370 chief steward's girl
Like her father, Malaysian Maira Elizabeth shares the same EPL club loyalty.
The teenage daughter of chief steward Andrew Nari, who was onboard the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, got a chance to meet her father's favourite football team Liverpool.
The Reds are in Malaysia for a friendly match on Friday night (July 24).
Star Online, citing Utusan Malaysia, reported that Maira met with the players on Wednesday (July 22) at a hotel in Subang Jaya.
An excited Maira posted about meeting Liverpool club manager Brendan Rodgers, team captain Jordan Henderson and the club legend Ian Rush.
She said:
“I have never in my dreams imagined I could meet them. I am excited. It’s such an unforgettable moment.
“I mean, this is Dad’s favourite club.”
She also thanked Liverpool for making her dream come true, saying her father would have been most delighted.
Maira caught Liverpool’s attention after she posted on Twitter last year, asking her father to come home to watch a match that the club was winning.
