Younger brother finds M'sian university student dead at home, with neck injuries
What happened?
That's the question that police are seeking answers to - after a 22-year-old Universiti Malaysia Sabah student was found dead with injuries to her neck at her home on Sunday.
Toh Wei Teen's younger brother found her at about 3.30am.
The boy informed their parents, who were asleep in the master bedroom, Malaysian newspaper The Star said.
Police have taken him in to help in the investigation. Toh was the second of three siblings.
A team declared the victim dead at the scene.
Shah Alam police chief ACP Azisman Alias said the circumstances of the victim’s death had yet to be ascertained and her body had been sent to the hospital for a post-mortem.
“We have classified the case as murder,” he said.
