Jimmy Kimmel introduces new-born to the world
On Monday night (July 21), late-night talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel revealed pictures of his daughter after taking a two-week break to welcome her into this world.
In typical Kimmel style, the comedic US host revealed to viewers how he spent his break when he casually said he "did some painting around the house, grew a beard and, oh yeah, had a baby."
He welcomed his daughter with his wife of one year Molly McNearney, Jimmy Kimmel Live's co-head writer, almost two weeks ago.
He added: "My wife is doing fine. I'm fine, too. I was so brave. I cried a little but I didn't scream. You guys would've been very proud of me".
"We had a little girl, we named her after my grandmother – her name is Grandma Kimmel," he joked.
"No, we named her Jane," he added.
He continued making more jokes of the little girl talking about how new-born babies come out "with clown make-up on" adding that little Jane had gone "overboard with the foundation."
Coating details about his almost two-week-old daughter with humorous jokes, Kimmel revealed that "she weighed six pounds, one ounce (2.74kg) at birth (and measured) 20 inches (50.8 cm) long, just above the legal limit – sometimes, they make you throw them back."
He then mentions his two older children, from his previous marriage with Gina Kimmel, comparing the diets of the two with his new precious girl.
He joked: "I have a 22-year-old daughter and a 20-year-old son already, but it's interesting how much you forget. Like, did you know they don't eat pizza at this age?"
Even Kimmel's son was excited to announce the birth of his new little sister.
Excited fans shared congratulatory messages to the couple while others posted adoring tweets of the Kimmel's new kid.
