Koh, Yong eye HSBC Champions place
With top amateurs Koh Sock Hwee (top) and Amelia Yong (above) turning pro in the next week, the duo will be eligible for prize money if they qualify for the HSBC Women's Champions in March.
Sixty-two of the world's leading women golfers will descend on Sentosa Golf Club's Serapong course for the US$1.4 million ($1.98m) event from March 3 to 6.
The 63rd player will be from Singapore, decided after a two-day qualifying event on Wednesday and Thursday at the Serapong course.
Koh and Yong, both previous qualifiers, are among 12 players who have entered for next week's qualifying event.
The other 10 players are (handicap indexes in brackets): Jessica Ang (pro), Elizabeth Ang (-0.1), Callista Chen (1.1), Jen Goh (2.6), Erika Layson (1.8), Ashley Loh (2.4), Maisarah Saadon (5.1), Amanda Tan (0.4), Sarah Tan (0.7) and Jacqueline Young (0.9).

In the previous other six events, Singapore were represented by amateurs who finished way down the line.
