Singapore finishes as top south-east Asian wushu nation
Singapore's men's barehand duilian team blew away their rivals on the final day of the wushu competition to grab a SEA Games gold medal at the Singapore Expo Hall 2 on Monday.
Wushu exponents Fung Jin Jie, 22, Tan Xiang Tian, 23, and Tay Wei Sheng, 23, performed last out of the six competing countries but topped the scoreboard with a fierce and energetic display.
They scored 9.70 to clinch the gold medal, while Philippines came in second with a score of 9.68. Indonesia took bronze with 9.67.
The victory brings Singapore's wushu SEA Games medal tally to a total of six golds, three silvers and three bronzes, making them the top wushu nation at this Games.
