Xbox v PS: Which console should you get?
Thinking of getting a gaming console for the holidays? You have four to choose from – PS4 Slim, PS4 Pro, Xbox One and Xbox One S Gears Of War 4 Limited Edition - and it can be quite a tough decision.
Should you aim for the best of the best or can you live with the most basic setup? To answer those questions, here are some points to consider:
Is budget a concern?
That year-end bonus might not be as fat as you hoped it would be.
But you really want that new gaming console and park yourself at home over the holidays.
Budget-conscious buyers would likely go with the Xbox One, which starts from $309 and the price goes up depending on which game it is bundled with.

Form meets function
For PlayStation fans, the PS4 Slim has a higher price tag starting from $449. But that gets you a sleek system that does not take up too much space on your TV console.
Aesthetics over price? Then it's the PS4 Slim for you.

Future proof with 4K
You have two choices here - the Sony PS4 Pro or the Microsoft Xbox One S.
Both consoles support 4K resolution and has HDR to enhance the games' visual quality.
Budget is of secondary concern since both the PS4 Pro and the Xbox One S Gears of War 4 Limited Edition 2TB bundle (available from Dec 1) are closely priced at $599 and $629 respectively.
Your decision should be centred on the exclusive games you want to play, such as Uncharted 4 for the PS4 or the abovementioned Gears of War 4.
