High-wire rescue act

In one of a number of dramatic rescues, workers take a mother and a child to safety after they were stranded by an accident on the Koelner Seilbahn (Cologne Cable Car) over the Rhine river in Germany on Sunday.
Dozens of people were stranded, some as high as 40m, after a cable car crashed into a support pillar. There were no casualties and it was not clear what caused the mishap.
