Hazard set to become Chelsea's best-paid player
Eden Hazard is on the verge of becoming Chelsea's best-paid player.
Despite having three more years to run on his current deal, various reports in the UK said that the Blues have tabled a five-year contract extension worth £200,000 ($408,493) a week.
This will tie down the Belgian livewire to Stamford Bridge for a longer period.
He has been attracting interest from mega-rich French club Paris Saint-Germain as well as European champions Real Madrid.
The deal will see Hazard earn more than summer signings Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa.
The 23-year-old attacking midfielder moved to Stamford Bridge in 2012 from French side Lille for £32m, scoring 34 goals in 114 appearances for the Blues.
