French Open fashion: Florals and faux pas
Usually, it's the women who make headlines for their fashion at tennis tournaments.
But at the French Open this year, the men have been making fashion headlines too, with their bold use of prints and bright colours on the clay court.
Here are the most interesting - disclaimer: we didn't say 'best' - fashions from the tournament so far:
Tomas Berdych
Last year, Swedish clothing brand H&M teamed up with the Czech player to launch their first ever tenniswear collection. He's been in mostly normal, neutral colours since then, but then this year, he debuted this shirt.
USA Today suggests that the look has been "turning heads", and not in a good way. But we say this Hawaiian shirt-inspired look is growing on us. It helps that it's not in, say, pink or green.
Also, Berdych is merely following the hot new floral trend in tennis fashion ...
Agnieszka Radwanska
This floral get-up trotted out by the 25-year-old Polish player has been on many Fashion Faux Pas lists, but we say - it's spring! She's happy! Let her be.
Jelena Jankovic
This striped navy and white dress got many thumbs up, which is good news for the Serbian player, who clearly wanted to dress to impress.
''I think it's a very unique dress. It's very classy,'' Jankovic said in an interview. ''I think it's very French. I love it.
"I have the red shoes that give a little nice contrast to it. It's a little bit different to what I used to wear, and I think it's nice to show it off here at the French Open where fashion is quite a big thing.''
Roger Federer
Dropping from the top of the Swiss tennis rankings (thanks to friend Stanislas Wawrinka) doesn't mean you also lose your Vogue-worthy fashion sense, Federer.
A cardinal fashion rule has been broken - no red-on-red (sure, the clay court is a different shade, but still) - and the grey and red combination is just ... no.
Gael Monfils
Now this is the way to wear bright colours and a graphic print when you're playing in a big tournament. But then of course, Monfils is French - being fashionable is a birth right.
Milos Raonic
We're still unsure about this one - while, like Federer, Raonic has broken the red-on-red rule, that striking blue arm ... thing, brings a whole new, almost superhero-like dimension to this outfit.
Petra Kvitova
This grey-and-white print skirt from Nike was on many a lady on the French Open courts - US player Taylor Townsend and China's Li Na also wore it - but it's Czech player Kvitova who wore it best, matching it with a cool, slouchy grey top.
Venus Williams
She may have crashed out of the French Open early, but Venus Williams is always a fashion winner - this cool fresh design is her own, from her line EleVen by Venus.
