#AskThicke hashtag backfires - fans send Robin Thicke nasty tweets
It was supposed to be a fun and interesting way to communicate with his fans to promote new album Paula.
But Robin Thicke's twitter Q&A - organised by VH1 - turned horribly wrong when people started using the hashtag #AskThicke for other reasons.
Twitter users began to send hateful and sarcastic tweets to the singer who was dubbed a sexist for his song lyrics and music videos (ahem, Blurred Lines).
He has also been under fire for allegedly cheating on his wife Paula Patton and for his very public attempt in trying to win her back by writing songs about her.
Here's a choice selection of some of the tweets sent to the singer:

So much for having a fan base.
But to those that did send Thicke a proper question, they got their answers from the singer himself through the VH1 Twitter account
