Coca-cola wants you to never throw an empty bottle away
You know when a you see street vendor (or anyone) reuse an empty of Coca-Cola as a sauce dispenser?
Coca-Cola recently used that idea and expanded on it for their latest environmentally conscious campaign in Vietnam called "2nd lives".
They released a YouTube video last month introducing a range of "16 innovative caps" in Vietnam which will help the consumer reuse an empty bottle.
Some of the more interesting second lives that Coca-Cola has envision for their used bottles are
- A paintbrush
- A pencil sharpener
- Bubble blower.
As Adweek points out, that we don't know if the 16 bottle attachments are made from recycle plastic or if they are made from fresh materials because producing more plastic would clearly defeat the purpose of a campaign that was suppose to encourage recycling plastic bottles.
But hey, at least the message is clear, recycle your plastic bottles people!
