Three inmates escape from Canadian jail using a helicopter
In what sounds like a James Bond plot, three men escaped from a jail with the help of a green helicopter on Saturday night in Quebec City, Canada.
The escape of Yves Denis Yvon Lamontagne, 35, Denis Lefebvre, 53, and Serge Pomerleau, 49 has prompted a massive manhunt.
All three were detained in 2010 as part of a massive drug trafficking investigation.
A spokeswoman for Quebec Provincial Police, Ann Mathieu, said: "We are talking closely with the detention centre to figure out exactly how the escape transpired."
Shockingly, this is not the first brazen, airborne prison break in Canada.
In March 2013, two men posing as tourists ordered the pilot of a helicopter to fly over a detention center near Montreal. They then hoisted two inmates into the hovering aircraft using cables and escaped.
They were later caught by the police.
