He's a skilled rapper, a fashion icon, part of one of South Korea's biggest boy bands and now, he's Airbnb's newest celebrity host.

K-pop superstar G-Dragon has converted his Dukyang studio crib into an Airbnb staycation spot and he's inviting five lucky fans over for a sleepover.

Making a trip to the 27-year-old's nest in Seoul could almost be considered a pilgrimage for fans. It was in this very studio where he spent the initial years of his career and began his ascent to stardom.

Aside from opening up his iconic studio for two nights, G-Dragon will take his guests on a tour of South Korea's capital, during which he'll show them his favourite spots in the city.

Following that, the Crooked singer will join guests for dinner at the renowned YG Cafeteria.

As a parting, and lasting, gift to his guests, G-Dragon will leave reviews on their Airbnb accounts.

“I’m thrilled to become a host on Airbnb and I’m excited about welcoming my fans into my second home," said Big Bang's leader.

"I look forward to providing them with a unique local experience by sharing a glimpse into the early years of my career and bringing them around the neighborhood I grew up in."

Mr Patrick Lee, Airbnb's country manager for Korea, said: "We are excited that an icon of popculture like G-Dragon shares our vision of making the world a smaller place. Turning this superstar into a superhost will be a benchmark for Airbnb.”

For a chance to score the dream K-pop staycation, fans will have to visit G-Dragon's Airbnb listing and submit a write-up of no more than 300 words or characters (for entries in Japanese, Korean and Mandarin) describing how they would connect with a person from a different cultural background.

The deadline for submissions is before midnight on Aug 29 (Korea time) which is 11pm Singapore time.

One winner each from China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and South-east Asia will be notified after the conclusion of the contest.
