This is where cats rule. For real.
There are more cats than humans here and human inhabitants care for - worship even - the felines.
This is a place called Tashirojima, a small rural island town in Japan.
No surprise it's also known as Cat Island.
In the past, they were brought to the island as pest controllers to keep mice away from silkworm farms. But the industry has since waned and most of the human population left the island leaving the cats and a few people behind.
Over time, there were fewer and fewer people - about 100 or so - while the feline population grew.
The cats are roam freely and are cared for by the remaining local population who believe that they bring luck and prosperity.
If cats are your thing, join the many who've helped the island economy with tourism in recent years.
