Jamaican films himself taking a 24m heart-stopping leap from a cliff
Welcome to Rick's Cafe. Home of cliff jumpers such as Spider.
For US$20 (S$25), you get to see Spider take a heart-stopping 80 feet (24 metre) leap from a cliff at Rick’s Café in Negril, Jamaica.
The video above shows Spider recording his surroundings with a GoPro.
And If the vertigo-inducing surroundings weren't enough, a pan towards his entry point would definitely call for viewer discretion. The water below is strewn with deep-lying rocks - "props" for the daredevil act I'm guessing.
After an energetic assertion of confidence, the "high-flyer" springs off the board, in full flight.
The speed of the dive captured will astonish you.
Three seconds
In merely three seconds, Spider is already underwater.
Managing to dodge the rocks around him, Spider roars: "GoPro no problem Jamaica!" as he looks at the camera.
According to Mail Online, Rick’s Café opened on the Negril cliffside in 1974.
Its main attraction, of course, is paying to see fearless divers like Spider take the plunge.
Negril is a beach resort town in Jamaica.
