Gadget Terminal salesman jailed 7 months for cheating customers
A former salesman from an electronics shop at Sim Lim Square was jailed seven months on Tuesday (Jan 5) for cheating customers.
Justin Chew, 36, who worked for the now-defunct Gadget Terminal, had pleaded guilty to two charges of cheating, in which he conned two customers of $680.
Chew's former employer, Chung Choon Cheik, 33, and three colleagues — Tan Wei Ping, 40, Wilson Lim Weisheng, 30, and Lin Facai, 32 — have their cases pending.
Court papers said Chew worked at Gadget Terminal from April to October 2014 and recorded a basic pay of $1,800 with commission.
