MM Firdaus suspended two months
Apprentice MM Firdaus has been suspended for two months in his "weighing in underweight" case on LUCKY TWENTY THREE in Race 7 on Sept 20.
At the end of an inquiry on Oct 19, Firdaus pleaded guilty to two charges.
The first was for negligently changing his body protector after weighing out, resulting in him returning in excess of half a kilogramme underweight and the second for weighing out with a body protector which was modified and not approved by the stipendiary stewards.
He copped a month on each charge, which will be served consecutively.
His suspension will be from yesterday to Christmas Day.
Lucky Twenty Three, who finished ninth to Super Bonus, was disqualified from the race.
