F1 racing: Watch as Fernando Alonso becomes a fireman when Ferrari engine bursts into flames
Two-time world champion Fernando Alonso had to exit his car in a hurry during Friday's (Nov 7) practice session.
The Spaniard was seventh when trouble hit: An engine failure saw the back of his Ferrari bursting into flames.
He pulled up at a fire post.
But there were no fire-fighters on duty and after waiting behind the barriers, he decided to use an extinguisher to put out the flames himself.
At least he was unhurt - and managed a laugh later.
Meanwhile Nico Rosberg took the fight to championship-leading Mercedes team mate Lewis Hamilton.
He chalked the fastest laps in both practice sessions at the Brazilian Grand Prix on Friday.
The German started the day with a best time of 1 minute 12.76 seconds at the Interlagos circuit and ended the afternoon with an effort of 1:12.123.
