Torres reaches a new low with shocking miss
Another match, another nail in the coffin for the career of Fernando Torres.
The spotlight might have fallen on Diego Costa and Kurt Zouma as Chelsea came from behind to beat Olimpija Ljubljana in a pre-season friendly, but the former Liverpool striker provided his detractors another stick to beat him with.
After forcing the save that led to Zouma's winner, Torres had a golden opportunity to add his name to the scoresheet when youngster Nathan Ake found him at point-blank range with a pinpoint cross.
Even though it was easier to score than to miss, the 30-year-old striker somehow contrived to spurn the chance as he headed the ball over the bar.
El Nino knew he'd blown a glorious chance as he tried to bury his face into the turf the second he hit the deck.
Even youngster Dominic Solanke (No. 36) couldn't believe what had just happened right before his eyes.
And while their team were losing, Torres' shocking miss certainly gave Olimpija's fans something to laugh about.
With his Brazilian-born compatriot Costa netting the equaliser to start his Chelsea career with a bang, it looks like Torres' days at Stamford Bridge could be numbered.
