Another local Indian beauty was crowned at yet another beauty pageant.
This time, Miss Dalreena Poonam Gill, 20, was named Miss World Singapore 2014 on Saturday (Sept 13) night at the One Farrer Hotel and Spa.
She beat eight other contestants and took home a limited-edition collectors' gold coin with S$5,000, a cash prize of S$3,000, an all-expense paid trip to London and a crown.

But we all know she's no typical glamour girl, especially since she is a football referee.
Check out these five fun facts that she shared with us:
1. She hopes to be a Fifa referee by the age of 25.
She doesn't plan to stop at being just a Football Association of Singapore Class 3 referee.
Neither has her title driven her off her refereeing course.

3. She's been in pageantry for two years.
There's a reason why she's been interested in joining pageants. Unlike other contestants, her main goal wasn't always the crown.
"I believe that there are so many things you can learn not only about yourself but also about communication skills, leadership and so on," she said.

This year, she joined Model Search 2014 in January and came in first runner-up.
4. She eats a lot.
"I've never stopped eating. Not even if I had a photo shoot or pageant finals the next day," she said.

Being Miss Singapore World's winner
About winning Miss Singapore World 2014, Miss Gill said: "I did not expect to win and being in the Top 5 was already such a great achievement for me.
"But I worked doubly hard and I'm so glad that I was crowned the winner.
"I'll definitely strive to do Singapore proud at the international pageant."
