Set in China during the Sino-Japanese War in the late 1930s, former espionage agent Fang (Sean Lau Ching Wan) falls for Chen (Tang Wei).
But the ill-fated lovers are forced by their difficult wartime circumstances to split up and escape to different cities.
Even after they reunite in Shanghai years later, the couple have to face a tearful separation again when a civil war rages within the city.
Based on a true story, Lau's and Tang's realistic acting and amazing on-screen chemistry make for a heartwarming tale of love and resilience that will move even the hardest of hearts.
