PM Lee wishes father Lee Kuan Yew a smooth recovery; posts old family reunion photo
Soon after it was announced that former Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew had been admitted to Singapore General Hospital on Feb 5 for severe pneumonia, PM Lee Hsien Loong posted a personal message on Facebook wishing his father a smooth recovery.
The younger Mr Lee said that he had visited his father in the hospital this morning.
He also said that he did not see the older Mr Lee on Thursday, the first day of the New Year, on the advice of both their doctors. It was the "first time in a long while that we could not attend the Lee family reunion dinner", he said.
PM Lee is currently recovering from a successful prostate gland removal surgery.
He also posted a family photo with his father, wife Ho Ching and son Lee Yipeng, taken on Chinese New Year two years ago.
